CAVEMAN TV
Chapter 1 - Today
Look at what we've Become, A sanitised life for all
Out of touch with reality, your world doesn't work for me
your world doesn't work for me
As I look, up the skies, and I see the show tonight,
this is life for me, It's my Caveman TV
It's my Caveman TV
Chapter 2 - Yesterday
Well I know, what I wanna be
You know, where I’m going to
We know, it’s never going to be
They know, what I’m gonna dream
We know, it’s never what it seems
Like those stories we were told
of the olden times, the golden times when we were young
The pretty girls & the summer days, not like those bleak times we have today.
I see, where this is leading me
You see, what I’m wanna be
They see, another casualty
I go, doing the same again
You go, following after them
They go on selling us the dream
of the olden times, the golden times when we were young
The pretty girls & the summer days, not like those bleak times we have today.
Chapter 3 - The Question
You yearn for something else in your life, but don't know what it can be
There has to be something more, than this day to day monotony
Is this what you promised yourself?
Is this what you really felt when you told your best friend that you're feeling ok?
You wake up Monday to Friday in the job you've had all these years.
You stay in on a Saturday night, When its pizza & Strictly & if you're lucky Match of the Day
Is this what you promised yourself?
Is this what you really felt when you told your best freind that you're feeling ok?
Is this the dream you dreamt?
Is this what you really meant when you told yourself you're doing ok?
Chapter 4 - The Answer
This world don’t work for me anymore
This world's gone mad, gone sad for sure
Going for gold is the name of the game
Fame and glory is the aim
Why can't we see, all we need is to be
with those we love each day, what more is there to say
Working each day, wishing your life away
Staying in at night, with social media shite
I’m gonna leave this crazy world behind
One more day I think I’ll lose my mind
Take me away from this lust for more
I’m going to walk right through that exit door
Why can't we see, all we need is to be
with those we love each day, what more is there to say
Escape your TV screens, come and join the night time scene
Come and join with me and my caveman TV
Chapter 5 - All Change (instrumental)
Chapter 6 - Tomorrow
I see, what I wanna be, Together in harmony,
In touch, with who I wanna be,
This world’s gonna work for me, This world’s, gonna work, for me
As I look, up the the sky, And I see the show tonight
This is Life for me, It's my Caveman TV
It's my Caveman TV

Memory Layne
Take a trip down memory lane
Do you find it very strange
If you cast your mind back long ago
Do you think how little has changed
Bygone memories half fogotten
Reminiss on days gone by
Long hot days on a summer meadow
Do you remember? do you laugh or cry?

NORFOLK (Graveyard of Ambition)
Chapter 1 - Homeland (instrumental)
Chapter 2 - Leaving Home
Now you’ve grown, so say goodbye
Spread your wings, Time to fly
Leave this place, your childhood home
Learn to live life on your own
Heed the signs that you’ve been told
You’re not so young, not so old
The world is there, palm of your hands
Live your life and make a stand
The world is waiting
Yours there for the taking
New chapter starting
Welcome to this biggest, Welcome to the greatest stage
Don’t be scared it’s time to go
World awaits our debut show
Getting out and moving on
Learn to sing out life’s new song
This is now the right time
This is your new lifetime
With my your new found freedom
Welcome to the brave new world
Part 3 - Big Smoke (instrumental)
Part 4 - Prodigal? (instrumental)
Part 5 - The Graveyard of Ambition
Big Norfolk Skies that’s no surprise
No hills in front of your eyes
The Coastline is stark, Beaches serene
This is the place, I think you mean
But don’t try to depart ,
Cos this place is always in your heart
By our own admission,
Tis the graveyard of ambition
Tis the graveyard of ambition
Go for a week, You stay for a year
Before you know it, you can’t get out of here
Pace may be slow, But you go with the flow
No need to rush, cos there’s nowhere to go
But don’t try to depart ,
Cos this place is always in your heart
By our own admission,
Tis the graveyard of ambition
Tis the graveyard of ambition

Three Fools

3 Fools
Only the fool knows what is right and what is wrong
Only he knows when to speak, when to hold his tongue
Only the fool knows he got it sussed
But what the fool don't know is that he's missed the bus
The fool is a standing joke, but he don't know why
No idea how to laugh, no idea how to cry
No one taught him how to survive
In this cruel world when they'll skin you alive
Baby what do you say, did we ever learn to play
Never really knowing the name of the game
Nobody ever taught me the rules
I guess that makes me the fool
Who is the third fool, is it you or is it me
It's been a long time now it's plain to see
We've been abused right from the start
You turn your back they stab you right in the heart
Baby what do you say, do you ever learn to play
Never really knowing the name of the game
Nobody ever taught me the rules
I guess that makes me the fool

LAST CHANCE
Part 1- We're alive again
Last Chance to Shine, Last Chance to dine
With those at the top, Before dreams have to stop
Last chance on the stage, Last chance to amaze
before curtain calls, the final applause
I thought it had gone, Slipped through my grasp
Just a face in the crowd, But I shout it out loud
We're alive again
Last chance for fame, Don't revert to the same
Old ways that have failed, All to no avail
It's there for you now, take with both hands and run
For the light, for the sun, Your time has begun
You're alive again
Part 2 - This one's for you
All the doubters, All the Cynics
All those too good for us
All the nay-sayers, and all the critics
All those mocking us
Where are you now?
What have you done?
All supporters
All your kind words
All those who turn out for us
All the friends and all our relations
All those applauding us
Our gratitude
This one's for you
Part 3 - Last chance saloon
When we were seventeen We had but one dream
Now you've reached it too soon, you're in the last chance saloon
Life passes us by, Can't be bothered to try
Until you're faced with the facts, There's no winding life back
You're sit in your waiting room, awaiting your fear and doom
now you're shaken to the core, cos you felt there'd be more
Now you've got another chance, To perform life's last dance
Welcome back my friend, To the finale, the end
Part 5 - Camel in 4/4
Part 6 - We're alive again (reprise)
Last chance is here, The highway is clear
We're well on the road, to reaching our goal
When father time calls, And eulogies said
I want you to know, Life has no regrets
I thought it had gone, Slipped through my grasp
Just a face in the crowd, But I shout it out loud
We're alive again
Part 7 - Escape?

Mother Black cap are based in Norfolk, England and have been established since 2005.
We are influenced by the classic 1970's
era of melodic Progressive Rock by such bands as Camel, Focus, Pink Floyd etc but with inevitable nods to newer prog bands such as Spock's Beard, Transatlantic etc.
We have released 4 albums but love mainly to play live having performed hundreds of shows over the years
